In today's episode, we hop into the ring with Cris “Sunshine” Lencioni, owner/operator of Sunshine Athletics in Canby and a professional MMA fighter. On today's episode, we toss back a few with Steve Puga and Jen Peters of the FOB Taproom in Canby. Steve explains how he bought the Taproom on strict orders from his doctor (sort of) and Jen tells about the time she got a married man in BIG TROUBLE (hey! Get your mind out of the gutter. It's not what you think).
Also, we catch up with the awesome band Those Willows, who are playing the Canby Pioneer Chapel this weekend. Get ready for a big shocker, as Francke tells a joke that no one gets. I know: We couldn't believe it, either.

Don't look now, but today we're bringing you the story of Kevin McCarthy, a local speaker, author and businessman, who spent 33 months in federal prison for his involvement in the worst investment fraud in the history of the state of Washington — even though he didn’t know it was a scam at the time.

"To answer your question, Mayor, you don't know if it's going to get better? It is." Thus capped a tumultuous, but important, night at the April 3 Canby City Council meeting, during which dozens of residents spoke — for the most part, very eloquently and respectfully — about the state of our community in terms of how we treat each other and LGBTQ people.
We wanted to give you the chance to hear the entire thing, and thanks to our partners at CTV Channel 5, we're doing just that. The meeting has been edited only to the relevant portions of commentary from residents and elected officials. No public comments were removed or otherwise edited in any way.

Division Chief Todd Gary has a question he always asks families when he's on the scene of a fire: "If there's one thing that I can get out of the house for you while we're fighting this fire, what is it? What is that one thing?" On today's episode, he'll tell us about a time he asked a woman that question, and got an answer he'll never forget.

"You're killing me, Smalls!" It's one of those immortal lines that takes many of us right back to childhood. You may even have a T-shirt that says it. And if you do, it most likely was designed and printed right here in Canby. Caleb Garrison, vice president of T-Line Design, joins us today to explain it, and tell us why he has one of the coolest jobs in town.

Today, we bring you the story of a place that makes adult beverages on Whiskey Hill Road. Naturally, they're a winery. Growing grapes is not something winemaker Chris Helbling, the Postlewait family, and the other folks behind Whiskey Hill Winery ever expected to do, but they're enjoying every second of it.
